ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [WCl(2)(NO)(C(6)H(16)P(2))(2)]Cl, the seven-coordinated tungsten(II) center displays a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry with trans nitrosyl and chloride ligands. The NO and Cl ligands are disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are 0.6 and 0.4.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [WBr(NO)(C(6)H(16)P(2))(2)], reveals a distorted octa-hedral geometry around the W centre. The W atom lies on a special position at an inversion centre (the Br and NO ligands are equally disordered). The bis-(dimethyl-phosphino)ethane ligand is also severely disordered (site occupancy factors 0.52 and 0.48). This is the first structure of a tungsten species with nitrosyl and bromide ligands.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric complex, [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(C(26)H(24)P(2))(3)]·2CH(3)OH, consists of two five-membered [Cu(dppe)CN] rings [dppe is 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane] bridged by one ?(2)-dppe ligand, and two methanol solvent mol-ecules. The angles around the central metal atom indicate that each Cu(I) atom is located in the center of a distorted tetra-hedron. The coordination sphere of each Cu(I) atom is formed by three P atoms from two dppe ligands, and one C atom from the cyanide ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?N hydrogen bonds, which are formed by the O-H donor group from methanol and the N-atom acceptor from a cyanide ligand.

Project description:The title binuclear compound, [W(2)Cl(6)(NO)(2)(C(10)H(22)P(2))(3)], contains two W atoms which are bridged by a bis-(diethyl-phosphino)-ethane (depe) ligand. The seven-coord-inated tungsten(II) centres display distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometries with trans nitrosyl and chloride ligands. The title mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The ethane group of the non-bridging depe ligand is positionally disordered, with site-occupancy factors of 0.63 and 0.37. In the crystal structure, the binuclear mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. In addition, weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl inter-actions are also present.

Project description:In the title complex, [Rh(C(6)H(16)P(2))(2)][RhCl(2)(C(8)H(12))], the asymmetric unit contains two [Rh(dmpe)(2)] [dmpe = 1,2-bis-(dimethyl-phosphino)ethane] half-cations, lying on inversion centers, and an [RhCl(2)(cod)](-) (cod = 1,5-cyclo-octa-diene) anion, wherein Rh is coordinated by two chloride ligands and two olefinic ?-bonds of the cyclo-octa-diene ligand. The Rh atoms in the cations and anion exhibit square-planar coordination and are separated without any unusual inter-actions.

Project description:Crystals of the title compound, C(30)H(20)F(12)P(2) or R(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PR(2) (R = 4-C(6)H(4)CF(3)), were inadvertently prepared while attempting to recrystallize a crude sample of trans-Re(Cl)(N(2))(R(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PR(2))(2) from diethyl ether. The molecule lies on a center of inversion. One of the rings lies approximately in the P-C-C-P plane; the dihedral angle is 174.53°.The other ring is not quite perpendicular; the dihedral angle is 71.1°. The compound is isostructural with the R = Ph, 4-C(6)H(4)CH(3) and 4-C(6)H(4)CH(2)CH(3) analogues. It is well known that the basicity of phosphines and diphosphines can be altered by changing the electron-donating ability of R; however, the structural parameters for the title compound do not significantly differ from those of the aforementioned substituted-phenyl compounds.
