ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Mo(2)(C(5)H(5))(2)(C(12)H(11)P)(2)(CO)(4)]·C(6)H(14), is a centrosymmetric Mo complex in which two Mo atoms are connected by an Mo-Mo bond [3.2072 (12) Å]. Each Mo atom is coordinated by an η(5)-cyclo-penta-dienyl ligand, two carbonyl ligands and a diphenyl-phosphine ligand in a piano-stool fashion.

Project description:The title compound, [Ru(C(10)H(15))Cl(C(12)H(10)ClP)(C(17)H(20)NP)], is a half-sandwich complex of Ru(II) with the chloro-diphenyl-phosphine ligand formed from the diphenyl-piperidinophosphine and chlorine of the precursor complex [Ru(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(κ(1)P-Ph(2)PNC(5)H(10))Cl(2)] by an unexpected reaction with NaBH(4). Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mo(2)(η(5)-C(5)H(5))(2)(C(22)H(29)P)(2)(CO)(4)]·2C(4)H(8)O, contains two half-mol-ecules of the organometallic species and two solvent mol-ecules. Both organometallic mol-ecules are completed by crystallographic inversion symmetry, yielding dimeric units with Mo-Mo single-bond lengths of 3.2703 (6) and 3.2548 (6) Å. Each Mo atom is also coordinated by an η(5)-cyclo-pentdienyl ligand, two carbonyl ligands, and a (dec-9-en-1-yl)diphenyl-phosphine ligand.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ir(C(10)H(15))Cl(2)(C(6)H(7)N(5))]·CH(2)Cl(2) or [Ir(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))Cl(2)(9-MeAde-κN(7))]·CH(2)Cl(2) (9-MeAde = 9-methyl-adenine), the coordination geometry of the Ir(III) atom approximates to a three-legged piano stool. The 9-methyl-adenine ligand is coordinated in a monodentate fashion to the Ir centre through its N-7 atom. The crystal structure contains centrosymmetric pairs of mol-ecules, inter-acting through two N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. An intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond is formed between the H atom of an NH(2) group and a chlorido ligand. Further short intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl contacts are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mo(C(5)H(5))(CO)(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(2)]CF(3)SO(3), the cationic complex displays a classical four-legged piano-stool square-pyramidal geometry with a trans configuration of the basal ligands around the Mo atom. The cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ligand occupies the apical position of the piano-stool configuration. The average Mo-P bond length of the two trans PMe(3) ligands is 2.474 (5) Å and the Mo-Cp centroid distance is 2.003 (2) Å.

Project description:The title compound, [Co(C(5)H(5))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·0.2C(7)H(8)·0.25C(6)H(14), was synthesized by the reaction of cobaltocene, Cp(2)Co, with elemental lithium in tetra-hydro-furan in the presence of two equivalents of PPh(3). The mol-ecular structure displays a cobalt(I) center in a distorted trigonal-planar coordination environment, with one Cp and two phosphane ligands. There are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit besides the disordered solvent molecules.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, deca-methyl-cobaltocene, [Co(C(10)H(15))(2)], has been determined. High-quality single crystals were grown from a cold saturated hexa-methyl-disiloxane solution. The structure is related to the manganese and iron analogs. The molecule has D(5d) symmetry, with the Co atom in a crystallographic 2/m position. The cobalt-centroid(C(5)) distance is 1.71Å and the centroid(C(5))-Co-centroid(C(5)) angle is 180°, by symmetry.

Project description:The title compound, [Mo(C(5)H(5))(C(2)H(3)O)(C(13)H(13)P)(CO)(2)], was prepared by reaction of [Mo(CH(3))(C(5)H(5))(CO)(3)] with methyl-diphenyl-phosphane. The Mo(II) atom exhibits a four-legged piano-stool coordination geometry with the acetyl and phosphane ligands trans to each other. There are several inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving carbonyl and acetyl O atoms as acceptors. A close nearly parallel π-π inter-action between the cyclo-penta-dienyl plane and the phenyl ring of the phosphane ligand is present, with an angle of 6.4 (1)° between the two least-squares planes. The centroid-to-centroid distance between these groups is 3.772 (3) Å, and the closest distance between two atoms of these groups is 3.449 (4) Å. Since each Mo complex is engaged in two of these inter-actions, the complexes form an infinite π-stack coincident with the a axis.

The Si(2)Cp centroid-titanium distance is 2.0763 (10) Å and the SiCp centroid-titanium distance is 2.0793 (10) Å. The angle subtended at the Ti atom by the centroids of both cyclo-penta-dienyl rings is 131.22 (4)° and the Cl-Ti-Cl angle is 94.14 (2)°.
