ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [FePt(C(5)H(5))(C(24)H(19)NP)Cl(2)]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), the Pt(II) atom adopts a distorted square-planar geometry defined by one P atom and one N atom from the bidentate [2-(diphenyl-phosphino)phenyl-imino-meth-yl]ferro-cene ligand and two Cl atoms. Two disordered dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecules are each 0.25-occupied on a twofold rotation axis.

Project description:There are two independent Pd(II) complex mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [PdCl(2){Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(24)H(19)NP)}]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2). One ferrocenyl ring of one complex mol-ecule is disordered over two sites with half-occupancy for each component. Both Pd(II) cations adopt a distorted square-planar coordination geometry with a bidentate [2-(diphenyl-phosphino)phenyl-imino-meth-yl]ferrocene ligand and two chloride anions.

Project description:The binuclear title compound, [Au(2)Fe(C(9)H(10)NOS)(2)(C(17)H(14)P)(2)]·CH(2)Cl(2), which has the Fe atom located on a crystallographic centre of inversion, crystallizes as a 1:1 dichloro-methane solvate, which is disordered about a centre of inversion. There is a small deviation from linearity defined by the SP donor set [S1-Au-P1 angle is 175.35?(5) °] which is due to an intra-molecular Au?O contact [3.080?(5)?Å]. The primary inter-molecular contacts between binuclear mol-ecules are of the type C-H??, and are arranged so as to form columns in the a-axis direction in which the disordered solvent mol-ecules reside.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(25)H(22)NPS)]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), was determined to establish the coordination properties of the (phosphan-yl)benzyl-idene-methanamine ligand to platinum. In the unit cell two mol-ecules of cis-[PtCl(2)(C(25)H(22)NPS)] are accompanied by a dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule. The square-planar Pt(2+) coordination sphere is slightly distorted with the bidentate ligand coordinated via the P and the amine N atoms, and the Cl atoms located cis at the two remaining coordination sites. Parts of the thiophene ring and the solvate molecule were modeled as disordered with occupancy ratios of 0.55?(2):0.45?(2) and 0.302?(10):0.198?(10), respectively. Weak C-H?Cl inter-actions stabilize the crystal packing.

Project description:The dinuclear title compound, [FePtCl(2)(C(17)H(14)P)(C(23)H(23)NO(3)P)]·1.25CH(2)Cl(2), has a slightly distorted cis-PtCl(2)P(2) square-planar geometry around the Pt atom, and the ferrocenylphosphine ligands are staggered at an angle of 29.4 (2)° about Pt. In the crystal structure, the complex forms centrosymmetric dimers via two strong inter-molecular O-H⋯O bonds resulting in R(2) (2)(8) rings. A weak intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl bond leads to an S(8) motif. The solvent is highly disordered and has not been modelled with discrete atoms.

Project description:The title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(21)H(17)ClN(2))]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), crystallizes from dichloro-methane as a 2:1 solvate [CoCl(2)L](2)·CH(2)Cl(2) (L is 2-chloro-9-mesityl-1,10-phenanthroline). There are two independent CoCl(2)L mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit and both mol-ecules have similar conformations. They are connected by a weak C-H?? inter-action involving the mesityl ring. The cobalt center is four-coordinated by the two N-atom donors of the bidentate ligand and two chloride ions in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The packing of the mol-ecules is stabilized by weak slipped ?-? stacking inter-actions between symmetry-related phenanthroline groups.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(19)H(16)O(2)P)], obtained serendipitously during recrystallization of 1-hydroxy-benzotriazolyl (S(p))-2-(diphenyl-phosphino)ferrocene-1-carboxyl-ate from meth-anol, crystallizes in the chiral space group P2(1)2(1)2(1). Its crystal structure not only confirms the anti-cipated absolute configuration but also establishes a rather regular geometry for the ferrocene unit, devoid of any significant deformation due to the attached substituents. In the crystal, symmetry-related mol-ecules are linked via weak C-H?O inter-actions.
