ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Cu(NO(3))(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·CH(3)OH, is a methanol solvate derivative of nitratotris(triphenyl-phos-phine)copper(I). The complex crystallizes with three triphenyl-phosphine ligands coordinated to the copper centre, with an O-H?O hydrogen bond observed between the nitrate ligand and the methanol solvent mol-ecule. The coordination around the Cu(I) centre is distorted tetrahedral.

Project description:The title compound, [CuI(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·C(2)H(3)N, was obtained from the reaction of triphenyl-phosphine and copper(I) iodide in acetonitrile. The monomeric form of the complex has slightly distorted coordination of Cu by the I atom and three P atoms. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions between phenyl H atoms and phenyl rings. In addition, the complex mol-ecules exhibit C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between phenyl H atoms and acetonitrile N atoms. The crystal used was an inversion twin, with nearly equal component populations of 0.522 (8) and 0.478 (8).

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]NO(2)·CHCl(3)·0.5H(2)O, the Cu atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by a bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and two PPh(3) ligands. The Cu-N and Cu-P distances are similar to those observed in similar compounds. The range of coordination angles shows a moderate distortion from ideal tetra-hedral geometry. The bipyridine ligand is twisted [14.2?(4)°] about the ring-ring C-C bond. The nitrate anion and the water and chloro-form mol-ecules of solvation are disordered. In the crystal structure, there are O(water)-H?O(nitrate), C-H?O(water) and C-H?O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ag(ClO(4))(CH(3)OH)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], the angles around the central Ag(+) ion indicate that it is in a distorted tetrahedral coordination. The coordination sphere of silver is formed by two P atoms of two triphenyl-phosphine ligands, one O atom of a perchlorate anion and one O atom of a methanol mol-ecule. The crystal structure is stablized by a bifurcated inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond, involving the O-H donor from methanol and two acceptor O atoms from the perchlorate anion, so forming a zigzag chain propagating in [010].

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(H(2)O)]BF(4), the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphine ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted trigonal geometry. In the BF(4) (-) anion, three F atoms are disordered over two sites around the B-F bond, the site-occupancy ratio being 0.67?(6):0.33?(6). The Cu?F distance of 2.602?(5)?Å between the Cu atom and the ordered F atom may suggest a weak but genuine inter-action. O-H?F and weak C-H?F hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of {[Ag(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(2)H(6)O}(n), the 4-pyridylcarboxyl-ate ion binds to the phosphine-coordinated silver atoms through one of the two oxygen atoms of the carboxyl unit, and to a third phosphine-coordinate silver atom through the nitro-gen atom of the aromatic ring, giving a distorted tetra-hedral coordination at the metal atom. The ?(3)-bridging mode leads to a layer motif; the disordered ethanol mol-ecules are linked to the free carboxyl oxygen atom by O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Chloridotris[tris-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)phosphine]rhodium(I) methanol solvate.

Project description:In the title compound, [RhCl{P(p-FC(6)H(4))(3)}(3)]·CH(3)OH, the Rh atom adopts a distorted square-planar geometry. Rh, Cl and one P atom lie on a mirror plane, as does the solvent molecule. There are two inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, one between the methanol O atom and an aryl H atom (2.51 Å), and one between the Cl atom and the hydr-oxy H atom of methanol [2.34 (3) Å]. The complex precipitates in trace amounts from a reaction between RhCl(cod)(thp) [cod is 1,5-cyclo-octa-diene and thp is tris-(hydroxy-meth-yl)phos-phine] and P(p-FC(6)H(4))(3) under argon in CD(3)OD. Two C(6)H(4)-F units are disordered over two positions; for one the site occupancy factors are ca. 0.53 and 0.47, for the other the values are ca. 0.64 and 0.36. The methyl H atoms of the solvent molecule are disordered across the mirror plane.

Project description:The dinuclear molecule of the title compound, [Cu(2)(C(2)O(4))(C(18)H(15)P)(4)]·2CH(2)Cl(2), lies across an inversion center with a strictly planar bridging oxalate ligand coordinating two Cu(I) ions via two pairs of O atoms. Two triphenyl-phosphine ligands also coordinate each symmetry-related Cu(I) ion, resulting in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry [O-Cu-O = 80.57?(5)° and P-Cu-P = 125.72?(2)°]. In the crystal, there are two dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecules for each dinuclear complex.

Project description:The reaction of RuCl(Tp)(Ph(3)P)(2), where Tp is [(CH)(3)N(2)](3)BH, with benzophenone imine leads to the formation of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))Cl(C(13)H(11)N)(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(4)H(10)O. The environment about the Ru atom corresponds to a slightly distorted octa-hedron and the bite angle of the Tp ligand produces an average N-Ru-N angle of 86.3 (9)°. The three Ru-N(Tp) bond lengths [2.117 (2), 2.079 (2) and 2.084 (2) Å] are slightly longer than the average distance (2.038 Å) in other ruthenium-Tp complexes.
